The heart behind the flowers
Hi friend, I’m Nikki Lawrence — proud wife to Shawn and mama to our two sweet girls, Bailey and Bella. I was born and raised on a family farm nestled in the heart of South Central Pennsylvania, and I couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home. Our farm has always been more than just a piece of land; it’s the center of our family’s life. From Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings to the place where I married the love of my life, it holds some of my most treasured memories.
For years, the land sat quietly, with just a few chickens and two donkeys cared for by my grandmother, while the fields were leased to a nearby farmer. That all changed when one goat sparked a dream — a dream that would bring the farm back to life. Over the last six years, my husband and dad have poured their hearts into restoring the property into a fully functioning farm. Today, it’s home to more than 150 goats, chickens, horses, peacocks, and yes, those same two donkeys. As a historical property, we hold deep respect for preserving its legacy while continuing to create new memories with the next generation.
My journey into flowers started simply — as a way to save money on the bouquets I loved having in our home. What began as a small garden soon blossomed into something much bigger. Friends and neighbors started asking for arrangements, and before long, my flowers were being sold in local businesses. What once seemed like a far-off dream has become a reality — all by the grace of God. Through His guidance, I’ve been given the joy of sharing this passion with my community, one bouquet at a time.
Flowers by Lousy Run Farms is more than a business — it’s a labor of love, rooted in faith, family, and the beauty of blooming where you’re planted.
